The Good Packaging™ Framework

The Good Packaging™ Framework

Good packaging isn't one good decision. It's a sequence of connected ones.

The Good Packaging™ Framework is BICE’s proprietary method for taking packaging from early direction to production readiness. It brings brand, commercial reality and technical constraints into one process - with clear ownership over the decisions and a deliberate sequence for making them.

The Good Packaging Framework

Three realities, one workflow.

Three realities, one workflow.

Creative.
Does it create the right brand and product experience?

Commercial.

Does it make sense at the target price, volume, MOQ and timeline?

Technical.

Can it actually be manufactured, filled, decorated and supplied?

The Good Packaging Framework

The order matters.

The order matters.

Packaging development overlaps across design, formula, suppliers and regulatory work.

The Framework sequences decisions, keeps reversible choices open, and resolves key risks before costlier commitments are made.

Less rework. Fewer late surprises. Better decisions, earlier.

The Good Packaging Framework

One owner across the process.

One owner across the process.

Packaging involves many specialists, but nobody automatically owns what happens between them.

BICE connects those decisions, brings in the right expert at the right time, and keeps the process moving under one clear packaging lead.

The Problem I Kept Seeing

I’ve worked across packaging engineering, NPD, design and creative direction, and I kept seeing the same problem: everyone owns one piece, but at the end of they day, the founder was left connecting the whole thing.

The Framework came from wanting to make that process less overwhelming: clearer decisions, the right people involved at the right time, and a much smoother route from a good idea to physical product.

Every project starts from a different place. We keep what already works, identify what still needs to be resolved, and apply the Framework to bring the remaining decisions into the right order.

One method, adapted to the realities of the project.
